My writing is an outlet.
It is how I express my deepest thoughts and emotions,
the words my mouth wouldn't dare to say aloud.
It is my form of release,
My sacred realm that holds space for
only me.
And the place where my vulnerability retreats,
where I can lock it up safely and throw away the key.
I mean….
It's therapy,
without the officially appointed therapist.
It's a landing that remains a soft for when the world is too hard.
It is how I empty my cup
when it has gotten too full.
Words are my therapy,
and writing them out is my healing.
It's my escape when no one else is listening.
My poetry reminds me of
the depth that lies in my feelings.
Where I don't have to feel shame for being too much,
It's my subtle reminder to myself that
I. Am. Enough.
…..I set myself free
and allow myself to simply, be.
The deepest parts of me
exists in my writing.
